I saw plenty of ads for people offering to write and perform songs, so not sure what you're on about.
It is creepy though. I keep expecting to see ... certain things. But nothing! There's just something off about all of it.

I think it might be evil.
There are a lot of people selling crappy stuff on there, but some are really good. Some art gigs. I even have one for creating short voice acting skits. Just gotta do your research
Research? Why?
To make sure the stuff/services they are selling are quality
but why would i want that?
Like communism? Lol, what?
You heard me.
Seems like $5 isn't much to pay for sommat. I liked the guy who found shark teeth, though, that was a fun idea.
Gotta love shark teeth.
Eh? I don't understand how that is like communism. It's like the very essence of capitalism, people buying and selling services. Private businesses competing in a free market. How on earth is anything like communism?
Is it a free market? Because it seems like it is made of regulations and control! Where is the invisible hand?! Down with structure!
I can get you to make art for me, for five dollars? Hah, how the mighty have fallen to Fiverr. This is like fast food for art viewers. Conveniently enough, this enables artists to GET fast food.
What do I get for thirty? Better yet, what do I have to pay to get you to make another animation? I'm still watching Dream Adventure over here.
Lots and lots for another animation. Also, thank you for thinking I was ever mighty! I've never been called that before, even sarcastically.
I dont think its close to communism...its just commercialism at its weirdest and least professional.
I think that is the appeal.
Or perhaps the appeal is making five dollars.
I loved your legend of link. It was so funny, and unlike most other things, it had a point. It was more real to life, and the characters weren't scattered messes, constantly changing. I just hate it that so many good flash artist, and abridging people seem to have given up, or are not as interested in things. I know it's human nateure, I get obsessed with tons of things and drop them, but it just doesn't seem fair that the world gets deprived of these great things. I'll give you some examples of people who seem to have completely lost interest, completely stopped their work, or don't care enough to tell how they're doing at all. Alvin-earthworm made a great series called super smash bros z, and now we barely hear from him. NCH seemed to have great potential with his Pokemon Hunter series, but after he got cancer he seemed to have completely given up. Peltos, sunshinedafox, Tyrant-D, all had potential, but it's the same for them too. Granfaloon and HadoukenDude made their own great series about Zelda games. They were different but shared many things. Granfaloon barely keeps us posted, and hadoukendude seems to be getting less and less commited to doing his series. they were all great, or had potential to succeed, but it seems like they don't care anymore. I just don't want to see everyone give up. It seems like an abridged series. It's extremely funny, but more and more as it goes on, the writers are less committed, and soon nothing happens. Yu-gi-oh abridged isn't being kept up anymore it seems, and teamfourstar seems to be slowing down. Please can you continue, so there's at least one thing we can count on.
I'm sorry to hear you feel there is nothing left to believe in. I think the main problem with much of it is that it requires a great amount of effort with little more then praise in return. I do, hope, to one day, have the free time and drive to make another LoL, but that time may be far in the future, or never. If i am going to be completely honest.
Also, people get bored.
I guess so, but to do something doesn't actually take too much effort if you think about it. You just have to be sure no to over due it. I'm writing a story, and it's going to be around two hundred pages long. However, I'll probably get done with it in a year, less if I work on it in the summer. I work on it an hour a day at school, and don't get tired or bored of it. If you do things in moderation, it doesn't affect you as much. It's like a race I guess, you have to take your time. I think if anyone just worked on their project an our a day, then they'd get progress, but wouldn't lose interest in it. It would also keep people fresh.
Maybe.

I tried to post an ad that said "I will tell you to fuck off and go kill yourself for five dollars" and it got rejected so this site can suck it.
Emptygoddess
That's to bad. That seems like it would totally be worth five dollars.
